Cheviot Hills Tennis Courts

Tennis courts in Cheviot Hills Tennis Courts
Set in Los Angeles, CA, Cheviot Hills Tennis Courts is the kind of local stop that works for players who want a useful place to rally, drill, or meet for doubles. The court setup - 14 listed courts - gives the location enough structure for rallies, match play, serve work, and drills without guessing what is on site. The surface is not specified in the listing, so players should check conditions on arrival and bring shoes that work for typical outdoor tennis. The schedule note is Mon-Fri 8AM-10 PM, Sat/Sun/Holidays 8AM-7PM (Seasonal); that detail matters if you are organizing tennis partners or trying to avoid peak demand. The hours mention evening play, but it is still worth confirming lighting and court condition before you commit to a late start. For booking, use the reservation link in the listing rather than assuming walk-up availability, since pay-tennis blocks can fill around lessons and leagues. This is the kind of listing that can help with private tennis lessons, finding tennis partners, or turning a quiet hour into a real practice session.

Great tennis, ample parking, no pickleball.
Lots of free street parking nearby, court surface is decent and relatively modern, but unfortunately the net on court 6 was held together with old racket grips used as a makeshift thread, and there were still multiple holes in the net that tennis balls could pass through. Also, the bench on the west side of court six was so close to the net pole that there is no room to change sides if someone is sitting on the bench or standing in front of it. You will often slam into the fence when somebody gives you an angled shot wide—these courts obviously need more width to make them comfortable to play on. And they really need to replace that old ratty net, especially considering that this is a pay tennis facility. I know it's not a country club, but still!

Hello, my name is Lemiel & I am a fun, local LA/OC tennis coach with over 16 years of playing experience and over 4 years of teaching experience! I am from Japan, and I recently moved to the United States to play tennis at the college level. I offer private coaching lessons, hitting only sessions, and I coach tennis players of all levels. Coaching and tennis have always been a passion of mine, and I want my tennis students to feel that passion as I develop them into the greatest tennis players that they can be out on the court in Southern California! **PLEASE NOTE THAT THE LOCATION OF COURT WILL BE DISCUSSED AFTER CONTACT**

The setting around Cheviot Hills Tennis Courts gives a simple match more personality than a standard park-court listing usually suggests. LA has a long public-court culture, and players often bounce between neighborhood parks, recreation centers, and school courts as they look for the right surface and crowd. For people who want to play tennis in the Los Angeles area, the best plan is to confirm access and keep the session flexible. Morning and late-afternoon sessions often feel more social because players are not rushing through the hottest or busiest part of the day.
