Santa Monica High School

Tennis courts in Santa Monica High School
Set in Santa Monica, CA, Santa Monica High School is the kind of school-court stop that works for players who want a useful place to rally, drill, or meet for doubles. The court setup - a flexible tennis setup - gives the location enough structure for rallies, match play, serve work, and drills without guessing what is on site. Surface details are not called out, so this is a good spot to approach with flexible expectations and a quick pre-hit condition check. Published hours are not included, so verify access before heading over, especially if you are meeting a tennis coach or several partners. Without listed lights, this is easiest to plan as a daytime or early-evening tennis stop. For booking or access, assume school programming has priority and verify when the courts are actually open to the public. Players could use it for tennis lessons for beginners, practicing tennis, rally games, live-ball drills, or a friendly set after work when facility rules allow. Because it sits in Santa Monica, the court can fit naturally into a bigger routine that includes work, school pickups, park time, or dinner nearby.

I grew up playing USTA tournaments from the age of 9. I am half french so in the summers, I would play at Mouratoglou academy in the south of France. I won the singles state championship as a sophomore in high school. Played tennis at Temple University. I then played and coached in France before moving to LA where I also work at the Tennis Channel.

The court details at Santa Monica High School point toward a realistic tennis day: check access, bring your gear, and use the neighborhood well. Players in Santa Monica often build court time around early mornings, lunch breaks, or after-work hits before heading toward the beach or a neighborhood spot. For players searching for tennis players near me, the neighborhood context matters as much as the court itself, because convenience often decides whether people actually show up. Bringing extra balls is a small move that makes tennis hitting, beginner drills, and group play much easier.
